Now that you are no longer a kid, you may be pleased to know that the paper plane has been reinvented for the drone and smartphone era of today.

Last week, a startup showed off a piece of kit that turns a paper plane into a gadget controlled by a smartphone with a motor to propel it along and a camera that can livestream the paper planes flight and take selfies.

The paper plane is named the PowerUp FPV and it is made by Israeli-based PowerUp Toys. It is not on sale yet, but it will hit Kickstarter on November 10. The lowest Kickstarter price will be $199 and it will not hit stores until next year.

The drone is controlled with an accompanying app that allows for a simulated heads-up display on your phone’s screen. It can be controlled with your fingers on the screen and there is support for head movement controls via Google Cardboard.

The camera on the drone can take photos as well as video with an option to livestream or save the flight video to a MicroSD card. It can also take selfies.
