According to Counsellor Lutterodt, prostitution is a "profession" to be reserved for only "pretty women". He says this was not the case of those in East Legon.

Controversial marriage and relationship counselor George Lutterodt is advising prostitutes in East Legon to quit prostitution because of their ugly faces.

Lutterodt, while speaking on the Accra-based TV station, UTV’s "Simply Maria" telenovela discussion on Sunday 5 February 2017 said prostitution is the preserve of the pretty.
“I told the ashawo people at East Legon to go home because they were ugly. Prostitution is for beautiful women,” he said unapologetically.

Counselor Lutterrodt is popular for his unconventional views on marriage and relationships.
He is known for advising women to harass men who have had children with them but do not want to accept responsibility.
Counsellor has also advised women to slap whoever requests anal sex from them.
He is set in his ways and views on marriage and relationship as a barrage of criticisms have not deterred him.
