England's Morgan voices Bangladesh security fears

England's limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan has expressed his concerns over security for October's tour to Bangladesh following terror attacks in Dhaka on Friday.

Twenty hostages and two police officers were killed at a restaurant in Bangladesh's capital, leading the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to release a statement saying it will monitor the situation and follow government advice.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chairman Nazmul Hassan said he understands the ECB's reaction, but remains hopeful that England will decide to tour.

But Morgan voiced his doubts at a news conference ahead of Tuesday's Twenty20 contest against Sri Lanka, and feels that playing at a neutral venue is an option that should be considered.

"I think that [a neutral venue] could be feasible if that came to it," Morgan said.

"I think it [security] is quite a big concern at the moment.

"We've always left the big decisions to the ECB. They write reports, send guys out to see if it's safe, then come back to the players to see if they're happy or unhappy. But certainly it's a concern at the moment."

England are due to play three one-day internationals and two Test matches against Bangladesh in October.
