CEO of BenGuy Imports, Aisha Bengai, has urged entrepreneurs to recognise the marketing power of their customers, saying exceptional service can turn buyers into powerful promoters of a business.

Speaking at Konnected Minds LIVE 2026 at the KNUST Sarah Mensah Hall in Kumasi, Bengai told more than 1,000 young entrepreneurs, founders and students that businesses should not overlook customer relationships as a key tool for growth.

Addressing the topic “Building Wealth Through Importation & Entrepreneurship,” Bengai said entrepreneurs can build strong and lasting businesses by paying attention to how they treat the people who buy from them.

“Every customer is a working billboard, so treat them well,” she told the audience.

According to Bengai, a satisfied customer can become an unpaid ambassador for a brand, recommending its products or services to friends, family and colleagues based on their experience.

She also challenged the popular belief that there are too many businesses in the market for new entrepreneurs to succeed.

“There is no saturated business; just position yourself well,” Bengai said, encouraging aspiring business owners to focus on finding the right market position rather than being discouraged by competition.

Beyond selling products, she urged entrepreneurs to turn their skills and experience into additional sources of income.

“Make money off what you know; your knowledge pays,” she added.

Her message offered entrepreneurs a simple approach to building sustainable businesses: position yourself strategically, provide excellent customer service and find ways to monetise the knowledge and expertise you already possess.

Bengai’s session formed part of the second edition of Konnected Minds LIVE, held under the theme “Think Big, Build Bigger.” The event, which followed its 2025 debut in Accra, brought together entrepreneurs, founders and investors for practical conversations on business, wealth creation and entrepreneurship.

The event was hosted by Derrick Abaitey, founder of Konnected House and creator of the Konnected Minds Podcast.
