Hearts of Oak were held to a 1-1 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium on match day 25 of the 2016
Inter Allies scored the first goal in the first half but the Phobians restored parity in the second half through Inusah Musah.
Both sides started the game on a blistering note as it was end to end action in the opening 10 minutes but it was the away side who made the most incursions.
Inter Allies kept the Phobians under pressure as the home side look disjointed in the middle of the field but they sailed their shots over. The Tema based side needed the three points badly and you could see from their seriousness on the field.
In the 20 minutes, against the round of play, the Phobians nearly stunned the away side, Samudeen Ibrahim sent Samuel Yeboah on goal, the experienced forward control the ball neatly and teed off Patrick Razak who intelligently back heeled the ball but was saved by Osei Kwame.
Inter Allies survived another scare, Cosmos Dauda picked the ball from the left-hand side – dribbled three defenders and rolled the ball to Samuel Yeboah in the away side’s penalty box but the latter shot the ball to the body of Wahab Akwei.
The Phobians were paid for their profligacy in the 41 minute after Ropapa Mensah buried home a rebound after Samuel Akurugu had made a swift double save.
Hearts of Oak then threw a lot of bodies upfront in search of the equalizer but Osei Kwame once again came to the rescue of the Eleven is To One side as he neatly saved Inusah Musah miscued shot.
The home side in the second half started the game as the aggressive side, putting Inter Allies under a lot of pressure.
Cosmos Dauda could have pulled even for the Phobians but he let his team down - instead of him shooting for the first time he decided to go past forest of legs in Inter Allies penalty box and he cheaply lost the ball to Waha Akwei.
Inter Allies were made to defend deep as the Phobians dominated play but the Tema based looked resolute at the back as they foiled Hearts of Oak dangerous attacks. The home side in the 70 minutes initiated another attack but Paul Acquah headed wide Macou Badu’s exquisite cross.
In the 83 minute, the away side were reduced to men after Frederick Boateng received his yellow card,  a minute later,  the Phobians took advantage of the numerical disadvantage of Inter Allies and grabbed the equalizer after Inusah Musah connected home Ollenu Ashittey’s lovely cross from the right.
Hearts of Oak after the goal gathered confidence as they pushed for their second goal and possibly the winning goal but Inter Allies defended well to earn a draw.
