50yr old man arrested for stealing diesel

A fifty year old man is in police custody for stealing diesel belonging to the telecom company.

The suspect Kwasi Gyan, was rested in Abetifi Kwahu in the Eastern region upon a tip off.

He was arrested while transporting the fuel in a Mazda mini bus.

Eastern regional police PRO, ASP Nketiah Yeboah told Pulse.com.gh "when his bus was searched, 36 barrels of diesel were found on the bus."

The suspect stole the fuel which was to be used to service some of the telecom company's equipment.

He has been remanded in police custody by the Mpraeso circuit court to reappear on the 18th of August 2015.
