A BBC reporter who interviewed the advertiser was asked to pay a sum of $500 and the cartel will get him a contract worth $500,000.

Kenya's Daily Nation, which published the advertorial was critisized for displaying it on the newspaper.

This prompted an apology from the popular media establishment.
