COP John Kudalor will be sworn-into office as the substantive Inspector of General of Police (IGP) by President John Mahama today.

Until his appointment, COP John Kudalor was Director General of Police Operations, a position he held for more than three years.

In a statement from the Flagstaff House Friday, February 19, 2016, said "President John Mahama will today, Friday, swear into office Mr. John Kudalor as Inspector General of Police".

The IGP, Mohammed Alhassan, begins his accumulated leave prior to retirement.
Kudalor has a 20-year wealth of experience in the police service and was in charge of monitoring the 2012 general elections.
