Mahama donates GH¢300,000 to National Cardio

President John Mahama, together with his siblings, has donated GH¢ 300,000 to the National Cardiothoracic Centre at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The donation is proceeds from Mr Mahama’s mother’s funeral, which the Mahama family decided to offer in support of the development of the centre.
UT Bank also added Gh¢ 20,000 to bring the donation in total to Gh¢ 300,000.
In a Facebook post, president Mahama said, "Earlier today, I presented on behalf of my siblings, an amount of GH¢300,000 to the National Cardiothoracic Centre, being proceeds of donations received during the funeral of my late mother. Thank you to UT Bank for the additional amount of GH¢20,000 to the GH¢280,000 realized from the donations."
President Mahama’s late mother, Hajia Abiba Nnaba, died in Accra on Tuesday, June 14, 2016. She was buried in her hometown, Busunu, in the West Gonja district of the Northern region.
