According to Daily Post, the body of the young boy identified only as Odiriverere, was discovered  in an uncompleted building at Kokori town in Ethiope East Local Government area of the state in the night of Monday, November 7, 2016.

A resident of the community who gave his name as Omoefe, told journalists that the deceased was very popular in the area and his death has caused a lot of concerns as the year gets to an end.

“This is ’ember months and so many strange things are happening. It is obvious ritualists killed Verere because there is this saying that hunchbacks dey move market.”

It was gathered that the killers of the boy severed the hunchback from the corpse as well as removing other vital parts of his body.
