Ghana would have to play the game of their life when they face Cameroon to avoid exiting the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) in the group stage.
The Black Queens have been unconvincing in the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON), having won one and lost the other.
They will come face to face against the group favourites Cameroon, who have won both games- edged Mali 2-1 and thrashed Algeria 3-0.
Ghana have been poor in front of goal in the ongoing tournament, having scored just two goals with one from open play and the other from the spot kick.
Coming up against Cameroon who have finished runners-up in the past two editions of the competition, Ghana would have to dig very deep to grind out the desired results.
If Ghana beat Cameroon, while Mali edge Algeria the application of the head to head rule would come into play.

In this case Ghana, Mali and Cameroon will be on six points and per the rules governing tie breaking exercise, the head to head is the first point of call and that will be among the three nations.
Cameroon defeated Mali 2-1, whereas the Malians beat Ghana by that same margin, so the hosts should be aiming at a two-goal margin victory to be sure of qualification or should score at least three goals while conceding two.
With the Black Queens chances of qualifying in severe doubts, most Ghanaians have lost hope in the team.
Ghana will take on Cameroon on Friday at 4:00pm at the Accra Sports Stadium.
