Man docked for stabbing co-tenant with broken bottle

According to the police prosecutor, Babatunde stabbed George on the head in the fight, an offence that is contrary to and punishable under Section 166 and 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.

Babatunde was arraigned on a two-count charge of unlawful assault and misconduct before the Magistrate, Mrs E. N. Johnson, who granted him bail in th sum of N200,000, after he pleaded not guilty to the offences.

Johnson however, ordered that he be remanded in prison, pending when he will fulfil his bail conditions, and adjourned the matter till the March 24, for mention.
