NPP groups caution Tina Mensah
Some members of the Girls Girls Action For Nana Addo and “V 16” have cautioned the incoming Member of Parliament (MP) for Weija-Gbawe to refrain from lobbying for one Patrick Kumoh to become the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) for the Ga South Municipal Assembly.
In an interview with myjoyonline they argue that Kumoh has a fairly new member.
“We have been in this party and worked a lot to get the party this far before Patrick came to join us. He joined the party not too long ago and besides, he is not qualified, there are people who are better qualified than Patrick, Tina’s behaviour is unacceptable and we would not tolerate it.”
They added that Tina Mensah, recently called on Assembly Members of the area and asked them to support her lobby for Patrick Kumoh to become the next MCE for the Ga South Municipal Assembly.
But the groups argue that they want competent people to be appointed to run such positions since it will affect their fortunes in the 2020 elections.
They further also cautioned all groups and individuals clobbying for various positions in the Nana Addo government to desist from that and allow the president-elect do his job.
They finally said they were hopeful Nana Addo will appoint qualified and incorruptible people to his serve in his government.
Meanwhile Nana Akufo Addo has reiterated that his government is not a money making avenue for any of the officials he will appoint.
He, therefore, called on potential government appointees who have the dream of making money through corrupt means in his government to either change their minds or count themselves out.
