New Zealand want England day-night Test at Eden Park

The Black Caps' fixtures for their next two campaigns were revealed on Friday, with a pink-ball Test an aim.

England are scheduled to play a Twenty20, five one-day internationals and two Tests in New Zealand in late 2017, early 2018.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) chief executive David White said he wanted the first of those Tests to be played under lights.

"There's some obvious highlights, with two more Chappell-Hadlee series at home, a three-match Test series against South Africa and the probability of a day-night Test against England at Eden Park," he said.

"While we can't confirm it yet, it's something we're extremely interested in and working towards."

New Zealand will host Pakistan, Bangladesh, Australia and South Africa in their upcoming season.

West Indies, Pakistan and Australia are due in New Zealand, along with England, in 2017-18.

The Black Caps were involved in the first and only day-night Test to date, losing to Australia in Adelaide last year.
