The newly constructed Cape Coast Stadium in the Central Region will officially be commissioned on May 3, Sports Minister

The 18,000-seater capacity which was built by Chinese construction firm IPPR international was completed three months ago.
The new multi-million cedi edifice, includes 21 fully furnished hostel rooms, two basketball courts, one handball court and one tennis court together with a completed football field and tartan tracks.
“The Cape-Coast Stadium will officially be commissioned on May 3. You know it was completed some months ago,” he told Happy FM.
“So it will officially be commissioned to allow sporting activities to take place.”

This will be the fifth international standard national stadium after Accra Sports Stadium, Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Essipog Sports Stadium and Tamale Sports Stadium.
