Aitken read a stray pass from Jack Wighton and juggled the ball before going on over six minutes into extra-time at the newly-named UOW Jubilee Oval on Thursday to give the Dragons victory

Raiders captain Croker touched down three minutes from time to break David Furner's club record of 1,218 NRL points and also booted two conversions, but was unable to celebrate a win.

The Raiders attacked the end of the ground which was in the dark due to a power failure which prevented one of the floodlights from working, but Tyson Frizell provided a ray of light when he barged over for the home side.

Gareth Widdop added the extras and booted a penalty 10 minutes into the second half to extend the Dragons' advantage to 8-0, but Jordan Rapana and Croker went over either side of a Tim Lafai score to make it 12-12.

Aidan Sezer was unable to land a drop-goal to win it for the Raiders before the end of normal time and missed another in extra time before being denied by a post, with Aitken taking advantage by scoring the decisive try to move the Dragons above their opponents into seventh.
