I thank God for not failing me – Oti Bless
Member of Parliament for Nkwanta North, John Oti Bless, says he is much grateful to God for allowing his nomination to be approved by Parliament.
Speaking to Accra-based Citi FM Bless said:
He said he will immediately start work as Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development.
Oti Bless’ ministerial appointment remained in the balance for the past three months after the Minority led the charge for the suspension of his approval following his alleged abusive remarks against the Judiciary, especially, the Chief Justice on an Accra-based radio station – Montie FM.
Parliament had put on hold the approval of his nomination in August after his vetting by the Appointments Committee.
On Thursday, August 5, 2016, Edward Doe Adjaho, Speaker of Parliament told the house that further discussion needed to be had on his nomination.
John Oti Bless later apologised for the remarks against the Chief Justice.
