Peterson: Minnesota Vikings can win Super Bowl

The Vikings returned to the NFL play-offs for the first time in three years last season, losing to the Seattle Seahawks in their wildcard matchup.

Minnesota ended the regular season with an 11-5 win-loss record.

But Peterson thinks the Vikings - who open the season at the Tennessee Titans on September 11 - are ahead of schedule in their development as they bid to win a maiden Super Bowl.

"We are going to have a good chance to win it this year—win everything," Peterson told TheMMQB.com.

"Sit back and watch. Sit back and watch. You can be like, 'I thought you guys were at least a couple of years away.' Nope. You sit back and watch, this year."

Peterson will once again be key to the Vikings' chances of success in 2016, after the 31-year-old won the NFL rushing title last season.

The seven-time Pro Bowl RB tallied 1,485 yards to take his career total to 11,675.

And Peterson has no plans to slow down anytime soon, with the 2012 MVP adding: "I honestly think I can do this, and do it at a high level, until I'm 40."

"I can, but will I? Honestly, I don't think I will. Mentally, I don't know," he continued.

"Once I get to 38, I don't think I'll have the same love of the game. Sometimes I get tired of training camp. I think I can endure five more [camps], but after that, I don't know."
