The Rio 2016 organising committee unveiled its Olympic and Paralympic medals on Tuesday, showcasing a simple, straightforward design in gold, silver and bronze.

The front of the Olympic medals features the Rio 2016 logo and the five Olympic rings, while the back portrays a winged figure inside a stadium and the words "XXXI Olimpiada Rio 2016."
