14-year-old girl dies in Chinese stone quarry pit

A 14-year-old girl has met her untimely death in a stone quarry pit at Awutu in the Central region.The pit, Penseng Quarry Limited belong to a Chinese stone quarry company, Accra-based Kasapa FM has reported.The Chinese owners of the pit are yet to give details on the incident.

The remains of the girl has since been deposited at the Winneba Hospital mortuary.

Police have however launched investigations into the incident.
