Stormers centre Huw Jones has been added to the Scotland squad for the tour to Japan in June following Finn Russell's withdrawal.

Russell was forced to pull out after sustaining a head injury while representing Glasgow Warriors in the Pro12 play-offs.

His replacement is 22-year-old Jones, who has made 21 Super Rugby appearances for Stormers since his debut last year, but is yet to earn his first Scotland cap.

"I'm delighted to get this opportunity to play for Scotland. It's a dream come true," he said.

"The call came as a bit of a surprise but I'm thrilled and can't wait to get to Edinburgh next month and play my part in an exciting squad."
