The 24-year-old has reportedly been hoping to make the switch to rugby union and flew home to Fiji.

But the Eels said on Tuesday Radradra would return for the July 2 clash against the Cronulla Sharks and to honour the remainder of his contract.

"Like other Eels players during the bye round, Semi was granted leave by the club to return home and visit family," his manager George Christodoulou said in a statement.

"This has led to some unnecessary speculation regarding his future.

"I have spoken to Semi directly and he would like to assure Eels fans and the wider rugby league community that he will be returning as scheduled in time to prepare for Eels' next NRL game against Cronulla.

"He remains fully committed to his teammates and will be remaining with the Eels until at least the end of the 2017 season, as per his current contract."

A one-time Australia international, Radradra has been lauded for his performances this season.

He has scored 10 tries for the Eels and his return provides a huge boost for the club.
