The ex-Black Stars and Fenerbahce midfielder was given a presidential treat at the State Banquet Hall after he presented a jersey to President Tayyip Ergogan.
The former Juventus midfielder spent three-seasons (2005-2008) at Turkish giants Fenerbache where he carved a niche for himself in the Turkish league.
His exploits with Fenerbahce seem to have cemented in the memory of President Tayyip Ergogan who ensured he caught up with one of his all time favourite foreign import to have grassed the Turkish league.
Appiah was the first captain to qualify Ghana to her first world cup in Germany 2006.
