Hull topped the regular season table after 23 games with 17 victories, their 34 points seeing them finish one point clear of long-time leaders Warrington Wolves.

In their two previous meetings this season, Hull and Castleford both have one win apiece, the latter unable to build on their round three win when they met at The Jungle in week 19.

The other opening fixtures of the Super 8s will see Warrington host St Helens, Catalans Dragons entertain Widnes Vikings and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats travel to Wigan Warriors.

All eight teams are battling for a top-four finish and a place in the semi-finals, with the Grand Final due to take place at Old Trafford on October 8.

Rovers are joined by Leigh Centurions, London Broncos and Batley Bulldogs in trying to gain promotion from the Championship.
