Saracens stay perfect with sixth Premiership win
Saracens reclaimed top spot in the Premiership and maintained their perfect domestic record this season with a 38-3 thrashing of Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park.
A sixth win from as many league matches always appeared likely for Saracens once Samuela Vunisa crossed inside the opening 10 minutes of his full debut on Sunday.
The visitors gradually pulled further clear via the boot of Charlie Hodgson and claimed a bonus point when the veteran fly-half and Billy Vunipola each crossed in the closing minutes.
Newcastle, who have now been beaten in 13 successive meetings with Saracens, trailed 13-3 at the interval, a penalty from Tom Catterick providing their only points.
Hodgson's fourth successful kick of the afternoon extended Saracens' lead on 54 minutes and Nick Tompkins effectively wrapped up the win when he went over just after the hour mark.
With two minutes remaining, a bonus point appeared beyond the reach of Mark McCall's side, but Hodgson and Vunipola scored tries in quick succession - the former finishing with a personal tally of 21 points.
