Watson and Lil Wayne: The most unlikely of friends?

After Tom Watson failed to make the cut in his last trip to the Masters, the golf great formed one of the most unlikely social media friendships with hip-hop star Lil Wayne.

A 43-year Masters career ended on Friday after Watson missed the cut.

The eight-time major winner received congratulations on a storied career from every corner of the golf world as he teared up on the 18th hole.

He also received plaudits from Lil Wayne, who said he gave Watson a standing ovation from his living room.

Watson then responded to Weezy, saying he will be giving him a standing ovation at one of his next concerts.
