Hat-trick hero Denny Solomona and Paul McShane crossed to give the Tigers a 12-0 lead, but Sam Powell hit back for the Warriors before Solomona scored twice in the second half.

John Bateman and Lee Mossop ran in quick tries for Wigan as they cut Castleford's lead to four points, but the win was secured when Ryan Hampshire scored against his parent club, with Oliver Holmes' late try adding gloss to the scoreline.

Adam Swift scored four tries in a game for the second time this year as St Helens beat Catalans Dragons 39-16.

Swift crossed four times in a 48-16 win over Hull KR in June and he repeated the trick again at Langtree Park, sealing a first-half hat-trick as St Helens led 16-12 at the interval.
