The Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta on Monday (July 31, 2017) presented the mid-year budget review to the Parliament of Ghana.

In his presentation, the Minister did not request for a supplementary budget which has been the norm for many administrations before him.
He also mentioned that the economy of Ghana is regaining its confidence after the Nana Addo administration took office in January 2017.

He also mentioned that the cedi has been stable since they took office. He said the government for the past 6 months “going through a rigorous preparatory progress for the things we announced.”

“The second half of the year will see steps to commence the implementation of our flagship programs.”
“We are putting measures in place to strengthen revenue performance,” he added.
