The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has ordered all chiefs in the Asanteman Traditional Council to set aside land specifically for the One-District One-Factory project.

The order was made known by the Omanhene of the Beposo Traditional Area, Nana Boamah Kwabi IV. According to him, the Asantehene believes that making land available is crucial to the success of the industrialisation project.

One District One Factory was a major campaign promise of the Nana Akufo-Addo government. It aims to partner private investors to set up factories across Ghana's districts to boost local economies and provide jobs for the many unemployed youth.
