Samini says Shatta Wale can never be the 'Dancehall King'

Samini has responded to critics that claim he is no longer the King of dancehall music in Ghana.

The African dancehall artiste made the shocking revelation during a one-on-one exclusive interview at Pulse studios whilst on a media tour promoting his new single “My Own”.

When asked if he is still the 'Dancehall King' he said:

“I’m still sitting down on my throne and minding my own business. I never moved, I am never shaking. A lot of people crop up and I see an established nation I am proud of. You cannot dethrone me. This is beyond a monarchy. When you are ordained, when you are set to do something, that is it, period!

“How is it possible that I have been here from 2001 and it's 2017 and you still want me to breakdown that… God makes kings and people see the manifestation of the Almighty in a king.”

Speaking on an ongoing feud between him and fellow dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, the 35-year-old ''Linda” hitmaker said he did not have one with him.

“I have not heard any punchline that will make me think there is some sort of beef. Every period has its vibes that it comes with. The fact that I’ve always been able to survive the storm and keep moving is proof.’’

Asked if fans should expect a collaboration between the two anytime soon he replied that he was open to the prospect since there was “big money” involved.

“It's business, big money and Ghana knows that when the two finally end up on any project and do it right, it is big money”

The award winning artiste further iterated that he did not have time to monitor the progress of others artists as he was minding his own business.

“I’m minding my own business. I’ve been minding my own business for 16 years.”
