Lydia Forson 'physically assaulted' by security officer

Lydia Forson claims she has been 'physically assaulted' by a National Security officer.

According to the "Keteke" actress, the incident happened while she was on set around the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) premises in Accra.

She made the claims in a lengthy blog post Monday, January 22, with the caption: "The abuse of POWER, WOMEN and how I was physically assaulted by a security official".

Narrating her ordeal, she said they were on set shooting an upcoming movie when 'a man with a walkie talkie jumped out' and asked them to put a stop to the shoot because they do not have the permission to do so.

And after a back and forth with the movie director, they decided to leave the place but upon leaving, a 'verbal assault' ensued between the security officer and a female crew member.

In the process, Lydia said the officer used a statement "you think you are somebody" which got her angry.

This started another 'verbal assault' between Lydia and the security officer. Lydia decided to film the incident but the security officer got angry and quickly hit the phone out of her hand and in the process he punched her arm.
