Expansion Netflix comes to Ghana

Netflix has expanded a year ahead of plans into 130 countries including Ghana, except China.

Netflix, an American worldwide provider of on-demand Internet streaming media, and of flat rate DVD-by-mail in the United States, where mailed DVDs and Blu-ray are sent via Permit Reply Mail with over 70 subscribers worldwide has expanded a year ahead of plans into 130 countries including Ghana, except China.

This brings to 190 countries where Netflix can be accessed.

Reed Hastings, the CEO Netflix made the announcement at the end of a presentation on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) -- an exhibition for gadgets and technology services.

Following the announcement, the company sent a tweet listing Ghana.

 

Other African countries on the list include South Africa, Ethiopia, Gabon, The Gambia, Equitorial Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin, Cape Verde and Congo.

With this development, Ghanaians can now subscribe to the service.
