Pastor jailed after he took money from people to make them travel abroad

George Kojo Appiah popularly known as “Agyegon”, took an amount of GHC 37,000.00 from some people to make them travel abroad, but subsequently disappeared.

According to Adomonline.com, he New Edubiase Commander, ASP Francis Ankah told the court that George Kojo Appiah popularly known as “Agyegon”, took the said money and disappeared into thin air.

The police have since been on the hunt for him until he was recently arrested and arraigned for court.

“Agyegon” pleaded guilty to the offence, and the New Edubase Magistrate Court presided over by his Lordship Stanislaus Amaniopo jailed him for 9 months on his own plea; with hard labour.

Meanwhile, interestingly, the prison term will not be the end of the pastor’s woes. As part of the sentence, he must refund the money to his victims after serving the prison term.
