Homosexuals in Tarkwa are looking for new members in local churches
The motive of the yet to be launched homosexuals association is for the churches to announce to their congregants the existence of their association and the search for members.

Members of the so-called yet to be launched association have defied any likely consequences and wrote formal letters to the churches to help extend invitation to congregants to join their association.
Their primary aim was for the churches to help them recruit members for the yet to be launched homosexual and lesbians’ association in the region.

The SDA Church at Tarkwa Kwabedu in the Western region is one of the churches the gays have taken their letter to.
An elder of the SDA Church, Ephraim Paa Kwesi revealed this on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem programme Wednesday.
He said he and his pastor received the letter from a 15-year-old boy asking them to announce it in the church so that interested people can join.
Paa Kwesi who is also the Assemblyman for Tarkwa Kwabedu Bogrekrom Electoral Area said he knew most of the names in the letter so he invited them to the church for advice.
However, he said his quest to advise them did not go down well with the youngsters, mostly Junior and Senior High School students between the ages of 14 to 17 years, and they latter mobilised their members armed with cutlasses to lynched him in his house.

He said “I was returning home from church when my brother called and told me not to come home because the homosexuals have stormed the house with cutlasses to butcher me.”
Fearing for his life, the church elder said he has reported the matter to the Tarkwa Divisional Police Command for immediate action.
“I have handed over the letter to the Tarkwa Divisional Crime officer and they have begun investigations into the matter,”
Apparently, it is not only the SDA church that the gays sent their letters to. Head Pastor and General Overseer of God Hands Prayer Ministry Bishop Elisha Clement Twumasi, was surprised to have received a similar letter from the gays.

He said “I have heard rumours about their existence but did not believe it until i received this letter. I think the church has a big role to play.”
The alarmed Bishop Elisha Twumasi said the time has come for the government, the clergy and civil society organizations to begin sensitization programmes to save the youth from falling prey the imminent abomination.
