According to Metro.co.uk, the couple are both Apache helicopter pilots stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas.

They reportedly started dating since 2012, but had to hide their relationship due to the ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy. They even broke up at a point as a result of mockery by others.

Daniel Hall is quoted as saying after the ceremony that, the ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy is “really frustrating when two people have feelings for each other but are not allowed to act on them.”

“We were serving under a policy that was telling all of us – perfectly capable soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines – to lie about ourselves,” Hall added.
