Two stowaways die after falling from airplane

Two suspected stowaways fell from a New York-bound plane which took off from an airport in Guayaquil, Ecuador and died on Monday.

Officials are reported to have said that the bodies of the deceased stowaways were found on the southern end of the runway of the Jose Joaquin de Olmedo Airport in Guayaquil.

Though officials were being economical with information regarding the incident, the deceased are believed to be age 25 and 30.

Prosecutor Carlos Bustamante also reportedly told the media that the airplane in the center of the incident had come to Guayaquil from Peru and was again enroute to New York.

The incident, according to Civil Aviation Office brought operations to a standstill for about an hour before activities were resumed.

Names of the said stowaways and their nationalities have not been disclosed yet.
