How comfortable are you farting in when your boyfriend or girlfriend is around?

Reminiscing on a sunny Thursday afternoon, my mind drifted to an argument I had with my roommate back on campus.

He was of the view that when your partner is around it is not advisable to fart as a show of courtesy and respect.

He thought it was weird and his point was that, “Why would you wish to put your beloved through such discomfort especially when you can just excuse yourself for a second or?”

I, on the other hand, felt one should be able to express themselves with complete freedom and liberty in the presence of their partners. This in no uncertain terms excludes the act of passing gas.

And well, if you didn't know, here are some benefits of farting.

I took to the streets of the University of Ghana to discuss this with a few people to see how they feel about farting in the presence of their partners.

Responses were skewed. Most people said they could not fart in the presence of the beloved as a show of respect. They said they would either excuse themselves or they would hold on tight and will keep it and pass it later.
