Officials of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) on Wednesday (November 29, 2017) went to the premises of the Accra Mall to shut down the facility.

This action was because owners of the mall have failed to pay taxes to the State.

They owe over 2.3million.

Speaking to the journalists present at the Accra Mall, the Chief Revenue Officer leading the taskforce Wisdom Kofi Heto said the GRA had sent a notice to the management of the mall since September that they were indebted to the State but no payments have been made.

According to Accra-based Kasapa FM, the management of the mall is currently in a crunch meeting over the development and are likely to issue out cheques to defray the debt.
