However, they’re making efforts to safeguard the belongings of the deportees so they could  bring them in the country.

According to the Minister, in the Trump led administration, the best illegal sojourners can expect is that they’re incarcerated and brought back to their country.

This action taken up by the government she says would help deportee maintain a stable livelihood when they’re in Ghana.

This information was disclosed by the minister to the newspaper after she had attended the 2017 Diaspora Homecoming Summit held in Accra on Friday, July 7, 2017.

President Donald J. Trump heralded the issue of deportation of illegal immigrants as very paramount in his campaign as flagbearer of the Republicans.

He has upheld his stance by taking drastic actions against such immigrants of which 75 Ghanaians fell victim last month as they were deported back to the country in handcuffs.

These deportees were sent back after their efforts to seek asylum in the States were denied.

In the first quarter of the year, the United States Ambassador to the country, Mr Robert P. Jackson reported that a whopping 7,000 undocumented Ghanaian immigrants were to be exported.
