A group of Nigerians on board a Dutch KLM flight delayed the flight departure when they demanded that the handcuff and chain used on a fellow Nigerian be removed or taken out of the flight.

Most Nigerians on the flight did not see any reason why their fellow citizen should be given such inhumane treatment.

The gentleman who was being deported was handcuffed and had chains on his legs as if he was a hardcore and violent criminal.

His fellow Nigerians demanded that the handcuffs and chains to be removed or he removed from the flight.

A Nigerian said on social media that “Nigerians held the Dutch KLM flight to a standstill demanding that a fellow Nigeria brought in the plane for deportation back home be taken off the plane or the plane was going nowhere. What was this man's crime? He had no documents and so he was chained like an animal.”

“When would our government start demanding her citizens be treated like human beings? And my fellow Nigerians you see what unity brings.”

“Let us start uniting and stand up together and say enough is enough," a passenger said.

The Nigerians were flying from Amsterdam to Lagos.
