The President on March 6, 2017, cut the sod for the construction of the nondenominational national cathedral to serve as a national place of worship and other religious ceremonies.

On March 16 last year, he also inaugurated the board of trustees of the national cathedral project.

He charged them to deliver a formal monumental cathedral for Ghana in record time.

The President told the group of Clergy men and women, to focus on three main areas.
