A spiritualist has been remanded by a court in the Ashanti region after he allegedly shot six people at Asomia Yawsore Ankaase in the Kwabre East district.
This was after some verbal exchanges he reportedly had with some young people in the area who had questioned his visitors over the route to his shrine, StarrFMonline.com reports.
Calm was subsequently restored. But the suspect, right after, went to his shrine for a gun and headed straight to the home of his victims, where he began shooting at them sporadically.
Narrating the incident, the assemblyman for the area Kakyere Assumadu said: “It occurred on the day the Muslims ended the Ramadan, some youth who were having a family meeting had a confrontation with some individuals who were visiting ‘spiritual father’ over the route to his premises.

“But the matter was resolved, then later he went for a gun and went to their home to shoot them. As I speak with you, one of the guys is lying in a critical state at the Ankaase hospital. His situation is very bad,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Ashanti Regional Police Command has begun investigations into the incident.
