Government can't collapse my businesses - Ibrahim Mahama

The president's brother said he has already established many businesses which have gone far and are very established, hence any attempt to make him lose hope will not hold.

He said he has already established many businesses which have gone far and are very established, hence any attempt to make him lose hope will not hold.

Speaking on Okay FM, Special aide to the President's brother, Rafiq Mahama said that the services of Engineers and Planners are well appreciated in other West African countries.

"Some utterances of some government officials shows that they have some hatred for the man who has genuinely started his business and employed so many Ghanaians."

The comments come on the back of the seizure of equipment of the Exton Cubic Group Limited, the company involved in the Nyinahini Bauxite mining controversy.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, has said that his decision not to allow Exton Cubic Group Limited to continue mining bauxite at the Tano-Offin Forest Reserve in the Atwima Mponua District, is in the interest of the country.

He had before this seized equipment and logistics hired by the company for its operations and has vowed not to release them until the company provides documents to show they have been licensed to mine in the region.

The equipment belongs to Engineers and Planners Co. Ltd, a company owned by Ibrahim Mahama, brother of former President John Dramani Mahama.

Some believe that the Minister has taken that stance to witch-hunt the brother of the former president, a claim the minister has denied.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has said that Exton Cubic Group Limited is not permitted to undertake any mining prospection activity at the Nyinahini bauxite concession in the Ashanti Region.
