Court remands Chinese for killing Ghanaian

The Chinese Jiang Gen Hai has not been charged formally as Police said they were still carrying out their investigations.

The Chinese national who shot and killed a lotto operator, Nana Boah in Wassa Akropong in the Western Region has been remanded in Police custody by a Takoradi district court.

Making the prayer for remand the prosecution led by an Inspector of Police Bernard Paa Ahinsan, he pleaded with the court to allow the suspect to kept with with the Police for a while in other for him to hello investigators in their investigations which was still ongoing.

The Chinese Jiang Gen Hai is alleged to have shot and killed the lotto operator who had accompanied his friend, a plumber, to demand for an amount of a Hundred and fifty cedis owed friend by the accused.

The incident then led the youth of Wassa Akropong to burn some 14 cars belonging to Chinese nationals in the town and also vandalizing other properties.

The Court adjourned the case to the October 26, where Jaing Gen Chai is expected to be charged with murder
