I will make Accra the cleanest city in Africa before I leave office - President Akufo Addo

Addressing parliamentarians at his second State of the Nation Address in Accra, the President admitted the challenges the country is having in regards to sanitation.

However, he has resolved to solve it. He said, “The spate of sanitation in the country is unacceptable. Government is working with various private sector authorities to introduce policies to affect our attitudes.”

“Sanitation rules and regulations will apply, urgent attention will be given to clearing of rubbish across the country “

Sanitation has become an issue recently as a lot of well-meaning Ghanaians have bemoaned the state of our cities in regards to filth.
