The Peace Council also waded into the matter asking Ghanaians to forgive the resigned minister.

The general secretary of the Progressive People's Party, Murtala Mohammed, said: "What a way to go. After apology, you resigned to? kw33! Don't give up on Ghana yet. We can do it."

Kwaku Azar said: "A very good day for democracy. We must have zero tolerance for speech from public officers that puts down the people."

Hetop Abeku Adams said: "Deputy Minister RESIGNS! GREAT ERA!! I wish Prez's SPEECH WRITER had done same in the past."
