Bridegroom arrested in church for robbery

Aaron Ackah, according to police sources is alleged to have robbed a Chinese small scale miner of an amount of GH 18,000 four days ago.

 

The groom, Aaron Ackah was in the process of putting the ring on the finger of his bride when a joint team made up of Police personnel from the SWAT division of the Rapid Deployment Force and officers from the Prestea division of the Ghana Police Service in the Western Region caused his arrest.

Aaron and his bride had finished exchanging their marriage vows and the officiating minister was just about ushering them into wearing the marriage rings when two plain dressed security personnel stormed the church and whisked him away.

The arrest of Aaron which led to the immediate collapse of his bride and to the ultimate shock of the fully packed congregants was alleged to be in connection with a robbery incident in Prestea.

The excitement which had filled the church was cut short as many of the awe-stricken guests started weeping and wailing.

Aaron Ackah, according to police sources is alleged to have robbed a Chinese small scale miner of an amount of GH 18,000, inflicted knife wounds on victim’s left arm 4 days ago at Aniamote, a small community in the Wassa Amenfi East District of the Western Region.

While efforts were made to resuscitate the bride, Rebecca Buah, the bridegroom Aaron was taken to Prestea for further investigations.
