2 nurses sacked for going live on Facebook while on duty

The nurses, identified as  Trudy Ewurama Marcel and  Ramatu were fired after their conduct was found to be in breach of the hospital's rules.

Medical Director of Royal MMR Hospital, Dr. Mohammed Donkor confirmed the sacking on Accra-based Adom FM.

He said the hospital feels very embarrassed by the conduct of the two thus they had no choice than to part ways with them.

The two nurses were employed as health assistants at the Royal MMR Hospital.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) says it has launched investigations into the matter.

Public Relations Officer of the association, Douglas Adu Fokuo though, says they are also worried psychological well-being of the two nurses.
