Two arrested in NDC, NPP clashes

The brawl which started on Monday, October 3 was due to a confusion in the on-going voters transfer by the Electoral Commission.

Since the creation nearly a decade ago, of an office by the EC in the region, the commission is yet to install a server for the new Tatale- Sanguli constituency.

Due to this, voters who wish to transfer their votes to other voting centres will have to travel to Zabzugu to do so.

Some supporters of the NPP have accused the Member of Parliament of the area for transporting foreigners to participate in the exercise which resulted in violent clashes.

The clashes, however, continued on Tuesday, October 4, between the ruling NDC and the opposition NPP.

The Ghana Police Service has since deployed men to the area to maintain law and order.

Meanwhile two persons- Yakubu and Abdulai- have been arrested and are currently in police custody awaiting investigation.
