The Black Stars were elated when Otumfuo Osei Tutu II paid an unannounced visit to them while training at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.

The Black Stars have made it a ritual to seek Otumfuo’s blessing before any difficult tie in Kumasi and it happened again on Friday at the Mahyia Palace ahead their opening 2019 AFCON qualifying game against Ethiopia.

The King of the Asante kingdom encouraged the team and urged them to win massively against their Ethiopian counterparts and also told the general public to troop to the stadium on Sunday.

It was in the evening that something unusual happened at the training grounds of the Black Stars: Otumfuo Osei Tutu, who was in about ten car convoy, arrived at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to give the Black Stars morale supports.

Moreover, he had pep talks with both Asamoah Gyan and Andre Ayew and also posed for a photo with the Black Stars before leaving.
